The aim of the study is to investigate the moderating effect of work values on the relationship
between perceived job insecurity and job uncertainty with intention to work in public sector.
The research model is tested with 145 participants from different sectors through
questionnaire method. The research model consists of four variables: Perceived job insecurity,
perceived job uncertainty, intention to work in public sector, and work values.
In this study, it is investigated whether perceived job insecurity and job uncertainty are
associated with the intention to work in public sector. The effect of work values on this relationship
is also examined. As a result of the research, it is observed that perceived job insecurity and
perceived job uncertainty have significant positive contributions on the intention to work in public
